We visited with our family friends in early 2009 to see properties on AMI and upon arrival we learned that the property we had previously found on the internet wasn't available anymore. We contacted Mel Neely with Island Vacation Properties that Saturday afternoon from a rental sign on the house. Mel contacted the property owner's and gained access almost immediately for us to preview this new property. We ended up at a local watering hole having food and drinks and while we weren't ready to buy just yet, Mel continued to sell us on the fabulous ANNA MARIA ISLAND!

We returned to Ontario and proceeded to discuss options with friends of ours who were teaming to buy the property with us. We contacted Mel who wrote up a Sales Contract and directed us to a local bank with Canadian connections. After a lengthy process we returned to AMI in late May and closed on the home. We met up with Mel and we were introduced to his business partner and wife, Barb. Since then we have become close friends, sharing drinks, dinner and other social activities.

A few years later Mel sold us another property, a single family home, that we completely fell in love with. Mel worked his magic and after a few twists and turns, we were able to secure that home for ourselves. He certainly earned his commission working on that tricky sale.
